Will it wobble at full standing height?
Stability is a core design priority. The desk uses a substantial powder-coated steel frame, three-stage rectangular columns and levelling feet. The frame alone weighs 33kg, and verified reviews repeatedly mention its sturdy feel.
Which size should I choose?
Small is 120 × 70cm and suits apartments or compact workspaces. Large is 150 × 75cm and gives you more room to spread out. Measure the full floor area—including the 70cm feet—and allow room behind your chair.
Is the top solid timber?
No. It is waterproof, scratch-resistant laminate over an E1-rated, FSC-certified heavy-duty particleboard core. That construction delivers a consistent, durable surface without presenting it as solid wood.
How quiet is the motor?
Recess specifies low-decibel dual motors. The desk moves at 40mm per second, so the transition is brief as well as controlled.
What cable management is included?
The desk includes a powder-coated stainless-steel double-flip cable grommet. The under-desk cable tray and optional power board shown elsewhere on Recess are add-ons and are not included in the base desk price.
What are the 30-day return conditions?
Return or exchange requests must be made within 30 days of delivery and the desk and packaging need to come back in similar condition. Refunds exclude original shipping and carry a 10% restocking fee; store-credit and exchange conditions differ. The policy generally applies only to the first purchase of a particular product. Read the current returns policy before ordering.
Does “lifetime warranty” cover the motor?
The limited lifetime cover applies to eligible structural defects caused by poor workmanship. Motors and electrical accessories are covered for five years. Normal wear, misuse, cosmetic variation and overloading are excluded. See the full warranty terms.
Can I assemble it by myself?
